Happy May!
In my circle, there is a strong consensus that May is crazy BUSY!
It's the end of the school year, and summer plans are on our minds and around the corner.
You can do it!
So, with my mind daydreaming of setting up my bird feeder …
I have a lovely lake house deck project I want to share with you; including a town moose named Marvin.
We had the privilege of rebuilding this lake house deck on Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint. The original 3,000-square-foot deck had stood for 20 years, and it was time to rebuild. However, this time, the homeowners wanted a smaller footprint.
Plans were drawn for a 1,800-square-foot deck built with Composite Fiberon Good Life Decking in Bungalow (brown) and a modern cable railing system with black posts.
The deck was enclosed with siding that matched the home and given two access points. The cable railing replaced the original glass railing while still allowing seamless lake views, especially while sitting at a breakfast table in the mornings.
During the construction, we were delighted to experience the vibrant nature of the area, including the neighborhood moose, Marvin. He was young and calm, and we caught him swimming to cool down from the heat. The eagles also entertained us with their chatter high in the trees.
Lastly, we were fortunate to work with the homeowners, who were warm and hospitable and made the experience enjoyable. The surrounding neighbors also played a kind role by checking in to ensure our crew had everything they needed.
As always, I love hearing about the plans you have for your home! So, fill out our contact form if you'd like to discuss how you can approach your remodeling ideas.
Cheering you on,
Shandra McCracken
